Mark is a native of San Francisco and started racing in 1984 with SCCA. His first car was a Ford Mustang later replaced by a Honda Civic CRX sponsored by Jackson Racing. He set numerous lap records and regional and national SCCA wins. In 2002 Mark acquired a Swift 008A Toyota Atlantic and is successfully campaigning the car. In 2003 Mark won the 2003 San Francisco Regional SCCA Championship and the 2004 season is progressing nicely.

Mark's crew consists of Kathie (a long time SCCA timing and scoring official), his partner Evelyn , "Woodchuck" Brendan a CalPoly Pomona student and Stan Clayton, Rennie Clayton's dad.

Mark is the CEO of BayTSP, an internet security company that tracks and documents illegal distribution of copyrighted material.

Mark lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Los Gatos.
